6th Form Volunteers at the Royal Parks Half Marathon

Posted on: 31/10/2024

We would like to say a huge THANKYOU to the wonderful 6th who gave up their Sunday to help support at a charitable event, the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

The Royal Parks Foundation was established as a registered charity in May 2003, with the aim to protect, conserve and enhance the wonderful, shared green spaces of London. The partnership also aims to protect wildlife and develop strong community links across the capital within the Royal Parks. On Sunday 13th October 2024, 60,000 athletes ran on behalf of over 200 charities across a 13-mile course.

Hatch End were selected to participate as volunteers on the day to help with the running of the event. The London Marathon staff at the event commented on how our students were incredibly helpful, proactive and enthusiastic. We even managed to cheer on our very own Marathon Man, Mr Williams who was participating in the race.
