ECC

Every year, students in Year 7 and 8 take part in ECC to explore enrichment as past of the curriculum. This term, students have been introduced to different elements of putting on a production with work based around Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat. Students have enjoyed workshops in singing, dancing, acting and directing. 8LCA did a particularly good job of staging ‘who’s the thief’!

Year 7 Drama

Year 7 have been working hard this half term towards creating a performance spending the night at the haunted Darkwood Manor House. So far, students have created scenes exploring the use of mime, thought tracking, narration and flashback to help them develop their understanding of how to create interesting work. They have also been exploring their use of vocal and physical skills to create engaging characters for the audience.

School Show Underway

We are well into the swing of rehearsals for our upcoming production of Joseph and the Technicoloured Dreamcoat.

With over 70 students auditioning for main parts, we have a tough decision to make, as the talent was set so high!

We finally have chosen our cast, and names of cast and characters can we found on the door of the Round House. Well done to everyone who took part, we were so impressed with your motivation and commitment.

In our latest rehearsal, we completed the number to Go Go Go Joseph, and it was sounding and looking amazing. We are really excited for what else is to come.

It isn’t too late to still join the chorus, so please see a member of the expressive arts team if you would like to register.
