Preparing for Success â Year 10 Mock Interviews
Posted on: 26/03/2025On Wednesday, 26th March, Year 10 students at Hatch End High School took part in Preparing for Success Day, an event designed to equip them with essential skills for their future careers.
As part of the day’s activities, students first attended a Body Language and Interview Skills Workshop led by Hatch End alumni Leonita Metaj, a Youth Advocacy professional, and Kai Bibi, a Business Administration Apprentice at the London Mayor’s Office. Leonita, who was first introduced to professional opportunities at this Hatch End event, shared her inspiring journey and encouraged students to embrace the opportunities available to them. She also provided practical tips on making a strong impression in professional settings.
Following the workshop, students took part in mock interviews with professionals from a range of industries. They were asked various interview questions and received valuable feedback on both their interview technique and CVs.
Our students performed exceptionally well, earning high praise from the volunteers. One of our parent volunteers, Mr. C. Crouch, shared his thoughts:
“It was really good to speak to the Year 10s and help them on their journeys. They were all so polite, well-prepared, and enthusiastic. Given that I have a son in Year 7 (with two more children joining in the coming years), it is very reassuring to see Hatch End’s focus on these values. Thanks again and do let me know if you need any help in the future.”
A huge well done to all our Year 10 students for their hard work and engagement.
