Year 10 Geography Coastal Field Trip

On Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th July, Hatch End High School Year 10 Geographers visited Reculver Bay in Kent to collect their fieldwork data.
Students were investigating the human and physical processes acting on the coastline. During the day they practiced collecting a range of qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. These included; sketching, interviewing local residents, analysing sediment shape and size as well as assessing the effectiveness of the management strategies.
Students will will now analyse their data then evaluate their performance on the day. This will then be assessed in their external examination next year.
