Schools Will Rock You!

Posted on: 19/02/2020

In partnership with Cedars Manor School  choir,  Hatch End’s Production Society staged the hugely popular We Will Rock You last weekend.  There was also a packed house at the matinee earlier in the week for over 600 primary schools pupils from around the borough.

Since its first production of Jospeh and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in 1987, the Society has been running these all-inclusive shows annually.  Students from all year groups are involved and it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase their talents and generally enjoy the community spirit that is fostered during the many months of intense rehearsals which take place after school and over the weekends.

I would like to thank all the staff, both past and present, who have given their time to this project.  These productions could not take place without their dedication and commitment.  As you will appreciate, the music for this show is a pivotal part of the plot, and our musicians and musical directors, Mr Cottle and Mrs Firth, have done an amazing job in keeping us on track (and in tune).

To all the helpers and everyone associated with the show, thank you for  your support - we couldn’t do it without you!
