Inspiring Visit from Ammaar Hussein

On the 25th of February, we welcomed an ex-pupil, Ammaar Hussein, who is now a history teacher at Ark Elvin in Wembley to HIP.  Ammaar is deaf and shared his amazing journey from our school to becoming a history teacher. 

Ammaar, started by talking about his time at our school. He expressed how thankful he was for his communication support workers, who played an important role in his education. "Without their support, I wouldn't be where I am today," he said, talking about  their importance in helping him with his learning.

During his school years, Ammar faced a lot of challenges but never let his deafness hold him back. Through hard work and determination, he did well  and was able to attend university, where he achieved great success in his studies.

He shared a powerful message with us: "Don’t let deafness or any obstacles stop you from achieving your goals. With support and determination, anything is possible!"
