GCSE Drama

Our Year 10 GCSE drama class have got off to an excellent start on their course. Students have been exploring the methodologies of two theatre practitioners, Bertolt Brecht and Konstantin Stanislavski and have begun to apply this style to the creation of their own work. They had the opportunity during the Year 6 open evening to perform some of their new skills to potential new students next year.

Drama Achievement awards

Over the next few weeks, we are launching student of the week awards across Key Stage 3 and 4. Miss Pearce, Miss Carroll and Mr Thomas will be watching out for students who show excellent participation, progress and performance skills within lessons to be selected. Students receiving this award will also get a certificate which will be sent home and be displayed within both Drama rooms with a badge for their lanyards. Over to you students, show us what you’ve got!

HEHS School Production

We are so excited to get started with this year’s school production, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.’ We have already the launched the show with Years 7 and 8 during our ECC sessions to give students a taste of what it means to be apart of the school production which so far has been well received by our students.

We welcome students from all year groups to join us to take part this year! We begin on Tuesday 1st October 2024, meeting in the Great Hall, and rehearsals will continue every Tuesday thereafter.

Any questions, please speak with one of the Drama/ Music team!
