Student Artist of the Month

Every year we ask our younger KS3 students to create a shield all about them for the front of their books. This shows us what they're interested in and what art skills they have so far that they're proud of. We are so impressed with all the students that have created such amazing artwork, well done Year 7 & 8. This shield we feel deserves our title of artist of the month. Well done Nicole J, 8LWE!

Art club

It's been lovely meeting new students but we're looking to meet even more!

We have a number of activities going on in art club such as:

If you just want to pop down and say hello you can do that too and on a Thursday break 2 you can even learn to juggle!

Art Competition

The adverts have started on television and mince pies are in the shops so it must be that time of year again! Please get your Christmas card designs to Mrs McGarvey in T22 by Monday 4th November.

Looking forward to seeing you soon, Mrs McGarvey and the Art Team

AQA Festive e-card competition

Entries are now open.

AQA are excited to launch their festive e-card design competition – an opportunity for our learners to showcase their creativity and design a piece of work to feature on AQA holiday communications sent to all their schools and colleges in December.

The winner will receive a framed copy of the final artwork and a £50 voucher. As well as seeing their work in their holiday communications, it’s a great opportunity for the winning student to put their accomplishment on their CV.

Theme for artwork submissions: ‘A festive winter image’

Closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 11 October. Check you’re eligible to apply by reading the full Terms and Conditions.

The winner will be announced on Monday 25 November.
