International Visitor from Japan welcomed by HIP Department

On Tuesday 4th June, pupils from the HIP department, welcomed an international visitor from Japan (who is currently working at Heriot- Watt University as an international deaf researcher) and three of our former students who were in HEHS between 1998-2011.

This big gathering provided an invaluable opportunity for our students to engage with deaf experts and role models and how much the school has changed over time.

The visit was further enriched by our former pupils who shared their personal experiences and achievements since they left school. Our current students were not only fascinated but inspired by their wonderful stories.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our visitors from Japan and former students of HEHS for their time and insights. This visit has undoubtedly left a lasting impact and memory on our students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and goals with confidence as well as resilience.
