Open Evening 2023

On Tuesday 26th September 2023, Hatch End High School were delighted to welcome all prospective pupils and their families to our annual Open Evening event to showcase our wonderful school.

Students and their families were able to walk round the whole school with one of our student guides, visit various departments, take part within subject specific demonstrations, join in with practical and written tasks, as well as have the opportunity to meet staff and ask plenty of questions.

Families were then able to meet our new Headteacher, Mrs Jeanes, and listen to the Headteacher’s Speeches at 6.00pm and 7.00pm. One Open Evening attendee commented about one of our students, Ali in Year 7, and his exemplary behaviour during Open Evening:

“We attended your Open Evening yesterday and we attempted to tour the school without an escort. We were approached by a smart young man, who confidently asked us if we would like a tour. He showed us his hearing support classroom and proudly explained how everything works. He then showed us your lovely school. I was very impressed with him and feel he is a great advocate for your school, even though he has only been there for four weeks.”

 

The event was a huge success and we would like to thank all of our fantastic student guides and staff for all their hard work, which ensured that the event ran smoothly.
