Assistant Headteacher, Mr Rowan-Robinson said:

"We are delighted with our GCSE and BTEC examination results this Summer. Despite educational disruption during their time in the lower school owing to the pandemic, we are immensely proud of our young people. They deserve our hearty congratulations, as do their teachers and all the staff and parents/carers who have supported them over many years."

Some of our success stories include:

DSC 0178Tilak Goswani achieved an exceptional 6 x Grade 9s, 2 x Grade 8s, 1 x Grade 7 and a distinction in BTEC Music.  He made outstanding progress during his time at Hatch End High School.  Tilak wants to pursue a career in Computer Science and will continue to study A Levels in Biology, Economics, Maths and Computer Science at Hatch End High.  He has a passion for Physics and benefited from his visit to Imperial College London when he was in Year 10.  Tilak said, “I used a variety of revision techniques and the motivational events organised by the school really helped me to maintain focus on achieving high grades.”

Diya Puspassen worked incredibly hard for her GCSE results and her progress since Year 7 has been truly exceptional. She achieved an incredible 6 x Grade 9s, and 3 x Grade 8s.  She plans to study A Levels in Politics, Psychology and History and eventually wants to train to be a lawyer.  Diya said, “This is in loving memory of my dear father, who inspired me to achieve the grades I did and work as hard as I did to make him proud, even during the most challenging times. His memory continues to motivate me to strive for excellence and make him proud. This one was for you Poppa." Diya added: "I have had some amazing teachers who have supported me during my time at Hatch End and they pushed me to get the very best grades." Diya was a school prefect and played a leading role in supporting some of our younger, less confident students with their reading.   "

DSC 0168Tom Benford was very pleased with his results, where he made strong progress, enabling him to move to the next stage of his educational journey.  Tom now plans to study Animal Management at Oaklands College, St Albans.  “The quality teaching and extra support I received in Maths and Science really helped me to achieve the grades I needed.”
