Year 7 Summer Fayre
Posted on: 15/07/2022This term, Year 7 students have been learning about Autism and how to be more understanding and supportive of Autistic students.
As a result, students organised a Summer Fayre to raise funds for The National Autistic Society (NAS).
Students created a PowerPoint, that they shared with the other year groups, with key information about Autism, how to help, and raising awareness about the work NAS do.
Each tutor group ran a different activity or stall: 7MMH sold doughnuts, 7AAM had a glitter bar and a surprise prize football shootout competition, 7AVP sold ice lollies, 7CDO ran a 'Guess the Teacher Baby Photo game, 7SAR had a water gun target game, 7ARU ran a can knock over game, and last but not least, Mrs Hawkins made and sold some delicious and refreshing lemonade.
The Summer Fayre was extremely successful, with students managing to raise approximately £150 for The National Autistic Society.
A fantastic effort from all of our Year 7 students.
