Small Island National Theatre Trip

Hatch End High School New Views playwriting students in Year 10-13 enjoyed a visit to The National Theatre in London for a backstage theatre tour and to see a production of the critically acclaimed play Small Island by Andrea Levy.

Students were able to look around the whole theatre, visiting all three performance spaces, as well as the epic backstage world of the National, where pupils learnt about the factories behind the scenes, making everything from costumes to weapons!

Students were able to gain much inspiration for their own plays, which they have been writing all year.
