Adisa Performance Poetry Workshops

On 16th November, Hatch End High School were delighted to welcome Adisa the Verbaliser, an author and poet, for some energetic Performance Poetry workshops with our Year 7 students.

The event could not have gone better, with Adisa hosting three different sessions for students in the Learning Resources Centre. Adisa was very considerate about students’ needs and spent time answering questions about their interest in poetry and literature.

Year 7 enthusiastically took up the chance to write and even read out their own poems. It was wonderful to see students engaging with literacy in such an interactive way.

Special thanks to Ms Dunford, Ms Le Fleurier, Mrs Hawkins, Mrs Bond, Mrs Williams and Mr Firth for helping to make the event a success and we look forward to similar opportunities in the future.
