Debate Mate London Event

On Wednesday 3rd November, Hatch End High School students had the pleasure of attending the launch of 'Debate Mate 2021' at the Emmanuel Centre in Westminster, London. The topic of this dynamic debate was:

Should being vegan be made mandatory?

Students from Year 7 to Year 10 from schools all across the country came to watch champion debators from London schools and universities, to see who could be the most persuasive.

Decided by the loudest cheers, everyone eventually voted in favour of NOT making veganism compulsory.

Hatch End High Students who attended described the event as ‘exhilarating’ and ‘inspiring’ and a great day was had by all.

The Debate Mate Club launches at Hatch End High School later this week.
