Year 7 Book Wheel
Posted on: 20/09/2021Introducing BOOK WHEELS in Year 7.
All Year 7 students have been given a copy of the central book in the Wheel - “The Boy at the Back of the Class”, by Onjali Rauf. They will read it in tutor time and explore some of the issues in the book during this half-term. In order to encourage wider reading, we have provided a variety of books within the Book Wheel, based on a similar theme.
We are asking that each Year 7 student aims to read at least ONE other book within this Book Wheel. One of the books, “Whirligig” is a more challenging read, aimed at students who want to push themselves to tackle more challenging texts.
Please encourage your child to read as widely as possible. All of the books on the Book Wheel will be available to borrow from the school LRC (Learning Resource Centre). Further Book Wheels will follow during the year.
