Congratulations to our Year 13 A Level and BTEC students on their wonderful results. After two years of such hard work it was a pleasure to see so many happy students and hear about their future plans.

Top A Level performances came from Zhe Yuan (A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Art) and Jason Amoah (A*AA in Economics, Maths and Chemistry). Both of these students also gained the EPQ qualification which we offer for our most able students. Both have used their excellent results to secure places at the University of Southampton to study respectively Aeronautics & Astronautics and Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics.

BTEC results were also exceptionally good with Tristan Reyes and Harmon Akampurira achieving the highest possible D*D*D* grades in Applied Science. They are now planning to study Biomedical Science at Brunel University and Roehampton University respectively with the aim of becoming Pharmacists.

In Year 12, the honours go to Sua Youn who achieved AAAA (in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology). Sua aims to follow in the footsteps of her two older sisters who also studied successfully at Hatch End Sixth Form and then went on to enter Medical School.

Sue Maguire, Headteacher said “Once again HEHS Sixth Form students have done themselves proud.  I would like to take this opportunity to say well done to them but also a huge thank you to all their teachers and other staff who have supported them over the years.  Special thanks as well to their parents who have worked with us in getting the very best results.”
