Speaker: Dr Ian Griffiths,

Andrew Wiles Building

University of Oxford

Dr Griffiths is a fellow of Lincoln College Oxford and a visiting lecturer at Princeton. He is also a member of the Royal Society. It was a delight to accompany a group of Year 12 student to the newly-opened Andrew Wiles building at the Radcliffe Observatory for a lecture on sharing fairly.

In the lecture, we examined the mathematics of fair division and secret sharing, highlighting the vital role it plays in society and our reliance on the discovery of new mathematical tools to ensure we can continue to share safely in the future.
