HEHS Choir Sings Out!
Posted on: 22/01/2018HEHS Choir were invited to sing with Harrow Choral Society at the prestigious Harrow Speech Rooms on Saturday 16th December. They were to perform both on their own, and with the Choral Society as well. The students had rehearsed for many weeks, and despite having already performed on at least three occasions in December, were committed and turned up in the cold for a rehearsal. Despite being initially daunted by the size of the Speech Room, they rehearsed and perfected the performance.
The choir sang a version of “I believe in Father Christmas”, by Greg Lake, to rapturous applause. After the interval, they sang a version of “Silent night” which was very complicated, but did it brilliantly. The students were an absolute credit to both the school and the Music Department, focusing, and really honing their choral skills.
The students who took part were:
Year 7: Aimee Jones & Ola Syrek
Year 9: Rebecca Beety-Jenkins, Thomas Farrar, Mia Gordon, Sarah Marsh, Eszter Novak, Latifah Rossi Do Santos & Hannah Shepherd
Year 10: Solomon Goddard, Davine Lee, Dipen Mandalia, Lili Novak & Regis Vata
Year 11: Julia Apetroaia, Prishika Nagar, Bianca Tarcatu & Karolina Marek
Sixth Form: Bilyana Balkanska, Chinenye Obiakor, Kush Pattni & Daisy Suffield
Well done, and congratulations to all!
