MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGES
OUR VISION
Knowing more than one language empowers students to see, understand and interact with the world in multiple ways. Knowing more than one language means knowing yourself better. Society today needs these abilities more than ever. At Hatch End High School, we aim to encourage positive attitudes to foreign language learning and to speakers of foreign languages. We cultivate a curiosity and understanding of other cultures and civilisations, by embracing similarities and differences in both culture and language. We foster a love of language and teach students to become self-reliant and resilient, therefore enabling students to understand the spoken and written word in the foreign language.
